Also called a 3-panel roll fold, C-fold or letter fold. A three-panel piece that has both side sections folded inward. Each section is approximately 1/3 of the total length, but the inner panel is 1/16″ shorter so it will lie flat when folded.

A 3-panel fold that folds back and forth to make a “z” shape. All three panels are the same size.

4-Panel Roll Fold

A 4-panel fold where the piece is folded inward at one end and then inward again as if you are rolling it up. Similar to the tri-fold, but with an additional panel. Inner panels are shortened so the folded piece will lie flat.
